A picturesque getaway in the heart of cottage country.
The living room area reflects a beachside aesthetic, complete with a stunning view of the Southern Georgian Bay. Neutral furniture is complemented by the warmth of the stand-alone fireplace and dark table.
A closed off condo unit with older appliances and fixtures transformed into an open, refreshed space. This client sought to maximize the living area and prioritize their stunning view of the Georgian Bay. To make the space as functional as possible, additional storage space was a must. This was achieved by removing the closets in the primary and guest bedroom to be replaced with millwork, along with the creation of a built-in bench in the window of the dining area to allow for a dining space in the cozy, intimate unit.
Lit up wall mural, custom designed by Alex Turco, embraces the nod to nature found throughout the space.
All millwork was custom made by Estate Interiors, as well as the primary bedroom headboard and lighting system. Concrete countertops were custom made by Balux for a seamless, coloured concrete look, with floors designed by Mirage. Custom wool carpets round out the airy, welcoming atmosphere to create an oasis just outside of the bustling city.
The built-in bench alongside the floor-to-ceiling windows allowed the creation of a dining nook.
The elegant kitchen boasts a stunning countertop in black tempest quartz, a durable stone with high scratch and stain resistance.
Mudroom accoutrements reflect the cottage chic atmosphere felt throughout the home.
Crisp white walls, paired with neutral hardwood flooring and wool carpets, complete the picturesque cottage look.
Custom made millwork closets allow for expansive storage space while keeping the home clutter-free.
Primary bedroom, complete with custom made headboard and modern lighting fixtures, offers charming view of the bay.
Ensuite, equipped with separate shower and bath, boasts two sinks and updated fixtures reflecting current trends.
Second bedroom matches the cream and white colour combination of the home, with added storage found in custom made millwork closets.
To maximize space and create even more storage opportunities, bunk beds with a built-in working space allow for efficient use of the third bedroom, with storage in each step leading to the top bunk.
The second bathroom combines the beach atmosphere with updated fixtures to round out the look.
