Overlooking Georgian Bay, this 6,500-square-foot, five-bedroom ski chalet is designed for an active family seeking a year-round escape. Designed in collaboration with Lorne Rose Architects and built by Primont Homes, the home blends modern architecture with the warmth of a classic lodge — luxurious, inviting, and never formal.
An open floor plan is defined by expansive 15-foot European windows, dramatic wood beams, and sweeping views of Collingwood, Georgian Bay, and the nearby Blue Mountain ski hills. Natural light pours into the interiors, reinforcing the home’s connection to the surrounding landscape.
Dark, moody tones throughout the space are softened with natural materials, oversized cushioned upholstery, and custom millwork by Estate Interiors, creating spaces that encourage rest and connection.
The main living area features a striking 12-foot stone-and-wood fireplace with a long gas insert, flanked by walnut panels and tubular sconces. Recessed shiplap adds a subtle, homey touch, while modern detailing — clean drywall reveals and casing-free openings — keeps the aesthetic fresh and contemporary.
Designed for real life, the chalet includes thoughtful amenities such as a wash-and-wear mudroom with ample storage, a dark slate-look porcelain tile entry floor, and generous relaxation zones throughout.
A coffee bar and hot chocolate station enhance the home’s cozy, ski-lodge sensibility.
One of the home’s standout features is a fully vented indoor grilling room, complete with a custom metal hood and copper detailing.
Designed for year-round use, the space opens to a screened, covered porch and an outdoor patio — perfect for barbecuing in any season while taking in views of Georgian Bay.
The primary suite offers a serene retreat, featuring dramatic oversized windows and a custom feature wall integrating the headboard, mirrors, and soft suede panels — designed for restorative, vacation-style sleep.
The primary ensuite continues the calming palette with light floor tiles, a double vanity in lightly toasted oak, and soft grey two-tone herringbone wall tiles.
