A penthouse in an iconic condo gets an elegant update.

Built in the 1980s by famed architect, Arthur Erickson, this luxurious lakeside condo has captivating views of the lake.
The new owners wanted to bring back a little glam but in an elegant, understated way. We brought the sophistication level back up with customized upgrades, neutral tones and glamorous textures.

Left: Entryway, before renovation. Right: Entryway, after renovation. A custom screen visually separates the living room while still allowing light to filter through. Herringbone patterned wood floors replace the original glossy tile.
The original burled maple built-in shelf is enhanced with custom-designed furnishings by Estate Interiors including an ottoman with an original design “etched” in nail heads and walnut veneer, and chaise lounge. Tiffany blue accents are a subtle nod to the lake view.
The bespoke walnut-veneered and upholstered chair and ottoman are by Estate Interiors.
Custom-upholstered Bernhardt recliner chairs are ready for cozying up with a good book.
Contemporary custom-made chairs from Estate Interiors are covered chairs in shimmery, silver-coloured upholstery surround the owner’s original pedestal dining table.
Based on a high-end hotel suite, the principal bedroom furniture is classically tailored with lush bedding to soften the edges.
Two framed, upholstered screens flank the owner’s original headboard. The custom nightstands by Estate Interiors are fabricated in Wenge wood and silver metal.

Estate Interiors designed the custom mirror frame and frosted glass insert on the walk-in closet barn door. Chairs are Jane Lockhart Platinum.
The large principal ensuite features a luxe, custom-designed vanity fabricated in quartz. Large format marble-like tile covers the floor and wraps up the walls.
Quartz wraps around the “over-mounted” soaker tub.
The guest bathroom features a crisp, honey bronze and black colour scheme. The countertop is quartz and the door fronts are a glossy laminate. Fixtures in aged brass are from Restoration Hardware.
The powder room is enveloped in a light, reflective wallpaper. Bronze fixtures elevate the experience. The detail on the original wood door can be seen in the mirror.
